Five stages, from the first intuition to the final frame. Each is led together, or handed to whichever of us it belongs to.

Screenwriting
Every project begins with a shared process of discussion and creative exploration. Ideas, intuitions, and visual concepts are developed together before being shaped into a screenplay by Margot.
This stage allows us to structure the narrative while preserving the spontaneity and sensitivity of our initial ideas.

Visual Development
Louise develops the film's visual world through concept sketches and storyboards. She explores shapes, textures, and atmospheres while translating the story into a sequence of images.
This stage is essential for establishing the project's visual language and rhythm, providing the foundation that guides the animation process.

Fabrication
Based on the drawings, Margot gives the characters and sets a tangible, physical form. The puppets are built around wire armatures and covered with needle-felted wool.
The sets are also crafted from wool, using needle felting and crochet techniques, with a focus on natural, organic materials. This stage grounds the film in a tactile, handcrafted aesthetic.

Animation
We animate together, frame by frame, through a meticulous and patient process.
Every movement is created by hand, gradually bringing the characters and their world to life.

Post-Production
Louise oversees the post-production stage, adding subtle 2D details such as eyelids and pupils. These elements are carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the physical materials, matching the texture of the wool.
We strive to make this stage as invisible as possible, preserving the coherence, tactility, and material presence of the image.
